Get Out the Vote

So, you know what today is? May 1st. May Day. I always plan on celebrating this occasion with gorgeous little bouquets that I secretly leave for my friends and loved ones. And yet I never have managed it. Today I am instead celebrating MAYDAY which of course is a distress call & I'm sending it out to all of you because voting begins today at the BHG Challenge Blog! You can vote once a day and votes will be updated daily. Doesn't that make you sick? Oops, I mean excited? I'm totally not going to obsess about the daily numbers. You believe me, right? So this voting this goes on til June 12th. Isn't that torture? Oops, I mean exciting?

If any of you dear friends feel moved to post about this contest on your own blogs, I would be thrilled. No obligation, just heartfelt gratitude and cyberhugs. If you do, let me know so I can come visit you. Either way, I appreciate all of your support and encouragement and if I win I hope you will feel like we all won. The Grand Finale

Are you guys just tired of hearing me even say the words potting bench? Well, I wouldn't blame you one little bit but you are gonna keep hearing it for awhile. Everyone's projects are done and posted at the BHG Challenge Blog. Voting doesn't start for another week (oy!) and will go for over a month (say it ain't so). I'm quite sure my heart will just give out before it's over. Sweet hubby has been promised one of them new fangled skinny TV's to hang on the wall if we win, so he's really counting on you.

Life's Little Challenges

Well guys, I have something fun to share with you! I've been asked by Better Homes and Gardens to participate in a challenge with 4 other bloggers where we will each be doing a different project with a $500 budget and supplies that must all be purchased at Home Depot. We will have 48 hours to complete our projects and mine will be a potting bench area. You can follow along with me as I blog about it on the BHG 48 hour challenge blog. I'm really excited to be a part of this and hope you guys will be my cheering section. I'm going to need all of your support because I've got some stiff competition!
