*Seasonal Decorations*

Well I thought I would share at least a few photos of my seasonal decorations, even though my camera wouldn't be kind and take nice photos.

Anyhoo the above picture is of some little gingerbread men that I bought from *The Blueberry Patch* a few years ago! They are just adorable, and were made and then dipped in wonderfully scented wax, they smelt soooooo yummy when they came I could have just taken a huge bite and bit off one of their little legs!!!

This little wreath used to belong to my Nana and I received it when she died. I think it must be from the 50's. I remember she always used to hang it on the back of her front door, and I used to spend ages just looking at the adorable little red reindeer!

This little fellow is a cute felt Santa, here he is stood by my willow heart on my welsh dresser. I think he is soooo cute with his little bag of twigs!

This is one of my wreaths and I only picked it up a week or so ago and it is sitting in my living room on top of a painted & distressed cupboard.

And finally this is our tree, I really couldn't get a good picture of it at all. I have taken so many photos of it and it just doesn't look that good, but hey ho never mind.
It looks really bare in this photo. You can't really see the lights either! I made all the decorations apart from the little candy canes, but all the hearts and stars & the big willow star at the top were made by me.

I wish I could have shown you more of our decorations but all the other photos just turned out so bad, but I hope you enjoyed seeing these few photos!

I hope you can pop by again sometime soon before Christmas so that I can share my wedding anniversary with you all!!!
Love to you all

*Gift Cards & Greetings*

I just wanted to share with you some of the Christmas cards I made this year.
My lovely sister very kindly gave me lots and lots (and by that I mean *loads*) of card making supplies that she had won in a competition!
I received beautiful papers, lots of different card types and envelopes, lots and lots of different stamps & numerous lovely coloured ink pads, a DVD about stamping, beautiful Christmas themed ribbons and lots more too!!!
So I made these very simple cards to look like gifts tied with ribbon, they had little tags on too that said 'Merry Christmas' or 'Let it Snow'!

Well I hope you are all nearly ready for the big day and that you are enjoying the season.
I have really enjoyed seeing all your seasonal decorating on your blogs and I know I haven't posted any of mine (well apart from my lovely heart below, which I absolutely love!) but I have tried and tried to get some good photos but for some reason my camera is just not playing nicely! But I will try and get a few posted in the next few days (*hopefully*)!

*Seasons Greetings to you all*

*I Heart Snow*

I *Love* Snow!!!!!!! I mean I REALLY love snow!!! I love love love it!!!
Eeek, and guess what ... it's snowing outside right now!!!!! *Yay*

I'm doubly excited as we are decorating our house tonight! James and I always do it on the Saturday night 2 weeks before Christmas and this is the time we exchange our Christmas cards too. We open the bubbly and get to it, champagne flute in one hand and wrestling with tree lights with the other! We have so much fun, we snack on nibbles along the way, (tonight it's cheese and biscuits, mmmmmmm) we have Bing Crosby & Frank Sinatra singing Christmas songs in the background, the bubbly keeps on flowing and by the end we do tend to get a bit giddy and giggly, once we are a bit too giddy we tend to decide that it's done, whether it is or not really!!!! But I always finish off and tweak the next day!

*Squeal* I've just looked outside the window again and it's still snowing, I just can't believe it, I'm so excited! Now I know it isn't going to lay, but just to see those beautiful snowflakes falling from above makes it feel so much like Christmas.
I *heart* snow!

*Festive Goodies at Vintage Amethyst*

Well just lately I have been thinking 'goodness where has this year flown to?' haven't you?
I can't believe it is the middle of October already!

Anyhoo as you know I've been thinking of the festive season for a while now, well having a shop does that to you, but you know me I love Christmas so it really isn't a chore in the slightest.

But at the weekend we managed to get some festive goodies added to the shop in a tiny new collection called *NOEL* so I hope you will pop on by a take a peek!

I am hoping to get a few more things added also, so keep checking the collection for more festive goodness.
Oh and whilst you are there I hope you will notice the lovely new front page too!

*Walking in a ...*

Eeek, that's right over here at chez Vintage Amethyst I am walking in a Winter Wonderland already ~ busy busy getting products ready for the festive season!

Hopefully I should have some festive goodies up on the website sometime very soon, fingers crossed.

I feel as if I have been thinking about Christmas for ages now and yes I must admit I have started my Christmas shopping. I do always like to get an early start on that, no last minute shopping for me, oh goodness no! I will have to get a start on making my Christmas cards soon too so at least that will be one more thing crossed of the 'festive to do list'.

Anyhoot ta ta for now & sorry if I have you singing that' song now!
