Lily Allen at Vintage at Goodwood...

Wayne Hemingway knows who won't be interested in his brand spanking new summer festival, Vintage at Goodwood: “the teenager "who's out on the lash, who wants to escape their parents and get plastered and leaves a load of empty tins at their ripped tent". (Why o why is Lily Allen invited then?)

Hemingway wants to bring back style and glamour to festivals. Apparently inspired, by a picture of Kate Moss at Glastonbury wearing very muddy wellies indeed. Vintage at Goodwood is to be the event for ladies and gentlemen who prefer restaurants and fine dining instead of burgers and hotdog vans, for women who want to go dancing in high heels and not wellies.
Now you may be asking yourself about Lily Allen. Lily will be there with her new vintage clothing shop. Allen who has retired from making sweet music is to concentrate on her new vintage clothing shop, her very own record label, her boyfriend and the house she has bought. When you think Vintage do you think Lily Allen? When you think hmmm...style and glamour do you think Lily Allen? Does no one else remember the bright orange wig she wore to the Brits this year!! I hear Liam Gallagher has a clothing line...maybe he was not available?
What do you think? Will you be going? Are you happy or disappointed with Hemingway’s line up? Answers below my dears...

Lily Allen Launches Lucy in Disguise Vintage Clothing Store.

Lily Allen's latest venture is a vintage clothing shop called Lucy in Disguise. The vintage clothing store officially lauches tomorrow and it promises to ”offer a vintage shopping experience with a fresh and exciting new approach. It will be merchandised in a clean and refreshing mode unlike most vintage stores, and will give the modern shopper the opportunity to dress up and wear vintage clothing in a thoroughly modern way.”

Set up by Lily Allen and her sister, Sarah Owen, Lucy in Disguise will offer a range of high quality vintage from the twenties through to the eighties. Pieces can be purchased or hired from £100 per item.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Lucy in Disguise “has been designed in the vein of a ‘modern-day Biba,’ Allen’s publicist Liz Matthews said.

The Lucy In Disguise London shop opens from Saturday 18 September at 10 Kings Street, Covent Garden, WC2E 8HN. Nearest tube: Covent Garden

Lily Allen at the Q Awards!

Lily Allen was at the Q awards last night and won an award for best track for "The Fear". I blooming love Lily even though she acts like a loon and always says the wrong thing it always work out for her in the end. I have loved Lily since her first album and I think I am in the minority, but I actually loved Allen's second album even more. So I am super pleased that Lily finally got recognised for her writing and fab single lastnight.
Does anyone know where Lily's dress is from? I love it - I still cannot figure out how she is making it look good as it's the kind of dress that should just hang and cover, but she is making it work. Oh and I am now obsessed with that haircut - loving Lily's shaggy bob, I think she looks very Debbie Harry esque.
