Fashion Show Illuminate’s Eco Awareness
Posted on 5:17 AM by follow me
Shining a light on pressing humanitarian and environmental facts surrounding the fashion industry, the ‘Illuminate’ section has been created by Eco Designer & Stylist Rachel Holland of La Luminata as part of the main ‘Fashion Showcase’ catwalk show.
Created as a desire to generate awareness around important World issue’s that unite us all globally. The show’s Eco section will highlight the work of several hot sustainable fashion labels: From Somewhere, Rowan Joy, Terra Plana and Rachel Darbourne accessories.
With the backdrop of a live band, video imagery, imaginative lighting and styled with hip hair and make-up. The models will sashay down the catwalk to a crowd of over 1,000, dressed entirely in recycled, eco and upcycled fashion.
Rachel Holland of La Luminata says:
“I am thrilled to be creating an Eco fashion section within such a large event and to be hand-selecting the designers for this. My role in this established show proves that Eco Fashion is fast becoming understood and accepted universally. I aim to show the Cardiff audience some of my favourite upcyled fashion labels and ignite their passion in sustainable design”.
‘Illuminate’ will demonstrate that you can be stylish, cutting-edge and sustainable all at once without losing your cool.
