Marilyn, August 1953: The long LOOK photos is a book full of over 100 unseen images of Marilyn Monroe. The pictures were taken over several days in August 1953 when Marilyn had sprained her ankle whilst filming with Robert Mitchum for the 'River of no return' movie. John Vachon photographed candid shots of Marilyn playing with kids, walking around on crutches and even snuggling up to Joe DiMaggio, with the Canadian Rockies as their backdrop. The photographs were taken for LOOK magazine, but only 3 were ever published. You can pre order the book on Amazon.co.uk
