1940s Vintage at Goodwood Revival
Posted on 2:26 AM by follow me
Here I have put together a little 1940s inspired ensemble to get you ready for Goodwood Revival 2009 on the weekend of the 19th September. All the items that complete this vintage 1940s outfit are for sale at Natasha Bailie Vintage Clothing Company here online! I have used pin up model and vintage expert Fleur de Guerre as my vintage inspired icon. Fleur always gets it right with her vintage 1940s look. Remember you want to create a 40s boxy silhoutte so wear a dress with square shoulders or a short jacket with box shoulders and always cinch in the waist. You could wear a faux fur and you actually may need a vintage faux fur as the weather is turning rather quickly now we are hitting autumn. Red lips and red nail varnish are a must. Victory rolls optional but there are alot of cool 1940s inspired hair styles out there and you can find many demonstrations to "do it yourself" on Youtube! My favourite videos are made by the lovely Casey from the "elagantlyamused" channel who has made a lot of video demonstrations on how to create the best 1940s and 1950s inspired make up and hairstyles. The great news is that alot of them you can create in under 10 mins!!
If you like any of the pieces in my vintage 1940s ensemble then you are in luck: simply click below on any of the links and you will be taken straight to the vintage treat of your choice!
