Daks A/W 2011: London Fashion Week
Posted on 8:57 PM by follow me
Daks have gone back to what they know best and re interpreted the famous Daks house check for a practical and patterned collection. The British Heritage brand Daks was established in 1894 and the usual check patterned exploded onto the London runway for their A/W collection for 2011. I love "British countryside chic", it makes me think of fresh mornings, orange leaves and long walks with the dog over the fields no? The length of the skirts and use of headscarves reminds me of Grace Kelly...I wonder if Grace Kelly wore Hunter wellie boots though?
As you may or not know I actually DO follow the trends on the catwalk and keep my beady eyes on what is going on. I think it is very important to know. It makes a huge impact on what people buy and I find it inspirational when buying. I love finding original pieces that fit with the up and coming trends.
However I am not a blogger who will write a post on every show, but I will always post if the collection is vintage-tastic or stealing trends from past eras. I find it inspiring and I hope if you read my blog that this is the same kind of jazz you like? So I hope you will be inspired and tell me what you think, by leaving a comment below this post.
