Marc Jacobs NYFW: S/S11...1970s Nostalgia?

Marc Jacobs chose the 1970s for his Spring-spiration for 2011. The colourful collection was full of high waisted trousers, lame, stacked wedges, neck scarves, jewelled clutch bags, corsages and large straw hats. I love parts of the seventies...hello Farrah's flick, Taxi Driver, Scarface! However am I alone when I say I am scared? High waisted trousers? I thought it was decided that they do not look good on anyone?!
With the weather in the UK taking such a chilly turn this week I just cannot get into the 'spring' of things. I am still gushing over the classic fifties inspired range Jacobs created for Louis Vuitton. **sigh...dreamy**
