Marilyn Monroe's Seven Year Itch Dress sells for $4.6m

Debbie Reynolds started collecting the pieces up for auction in the 1970s and the collection includes over 3,500 items. Including Dorothy's famous red ruby slippers from "The Wizard of Oz" and Marilyn Monroe's white dress from the 1955 film "The Seven Year Itch."
Apparently the Singing in the rain star said that the cost of maintaining them had become too high and that by selling them "I won't have quite so much responsibility and I can rest a little more".
Reynolds was said to be in tears when Marilyn's dress finally sold for $4.6 million at auction in Los Angeles. She told CNN Monroe would have been amazed to see her old outfits sell for so much.
