*Spring Thing*
Posted on 4:07 AM by follow me
We popped along to *Spring Thing* at our local Arts Centre at the weekend. 'Whats that all about I hear you cry' well it is a Beer & Folk festival that The Arts Centre holds every year.
There are lots of folk performances, and crafts stalls and of course beer! We had a good time seeing the stalls, and listening to a big group of people singing folk songs and sampling the real ales!
One of the nicest craft stalls there was a pottery stall owned by Elisabeth Bailey. She had lovely blue glazed earthenware, they were lovely rustic country style plates, mugs & jugs etc. and they all had little rabbits, hens or mice on ~ they were so pretty. She was also demonstrating with her potters wheel and creating whilst we were there. You can find more information about this lovely lady *here*.
So why the picture of a teashop sign then? Well the simple answer is I didn't take any photos of the festival, so don't have any to share with you all I'm afraid! But we did go over to Middleton-in-Teesdale yesterday and picked up some delights from this teashop there. It is a lovely teashop called 'Country Style Bakery' so if you are ever in Middleton-in-Teesdale pop along, it has the most delicious selection of cakes and baked goodies, beware not good for the waistline though as you always want to buy lots of different things as they all look soooo yummy!
Anyhoo ta ta for now and I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
