Playing Favorites
Posted on 6:14 PM by follow me
Yesterday I asked that Sweet Hubby of mine which room in our house was his favorite and which was his least favorite, assuming that he would say the dining room just because it is the least used room in our house and we are a people that like to live in every room we have. Imagine my surprise when he said our master bedroom.
I've decided not to take that personally, but to assume it's because, like most of you I bet, I haven't made decorating our room a priority since we are the only people who usually see it. To be honest when I asked myself the same question, the studio was hands down my favorite and I had to completely agree that our bedroom is also my least favorite.
Clearly I need to make the cozying up of our room my top priority. I think it should be a sanctuary, a cozy nest where we escape all of the stress of life- a place that is strictly for grown ups.
I've begun gathering some inspiration and hope to get have it done by this fall. Like most of my projects it will be done on a pretty tight budget.
Since I'm in the planning phase right now I'd love to hear about what you think a master bedroom should be. What are your favorite and least favorite rooms in your house?
