We just got back from a trip to Southern Pines, NC and this is what I have to look forward to today.

I love this area where Sweet Hubby used to live and every time we go to visit I daydream about living there. But then I remember how spoiled we are by summers in Indiana and how living in a place where the average summer high temperature could cook eggs on a sidewalk and I think, well maybe we could find a quaint little town like that in the Midwest.

While there we got to visit with family, do a little antiquing, go out for dinner at our fave Italian restaurant,go to our nieces 5th birthday party, ride a camel, have ice cream at our favorite old fashioned ice cream parlor, fall in love with Shrimp and Grits and play on this super fun inflatable slide. Worth every penny it cost, mostly because my pennies didn't pay for it! I notice a lot of the fun we experienced was centered around food. That might explain why I will be spending a good portion of my week on the treadmill.
