*Cleaning & Garlic Tea!*
Posted on 12:10 PM by follow me
Well today I've been trying to get back to normal after this pesky cold I've had for the last few weeks!!!
I even did some yoga this morning, but boy was I tired after only a few stretches and so didn't over do it!
I also seemed to have a cleaning frenzy going on today too, I just wanted to clean clean clean!
I felt as if I had neglected the house and that it just 'felt' dirty and needed a good clean, I'm always like this when I've been ill, I feel as if the whole house is full of germs and 'illness smog' and that it needs a good clear & clean ~ does anyone else ever feel like this???
So I got to work cleaning and washing! I've even been down on my hands and knees washing the skirting boards and woodwork ~ eek, I'm always amazed (well disgusted really) how dirty skirting boards can get! But they look sparkling now!!!
I also made up a batch of home-made medicine (well garlic tea~ sounds worse that it actually is!) to try and shift this horrible mucus and cough that doesn't seem to be going!
If anyone is interested in the recipe here it is:
Garlic Tea Recipe
In a large saucepan, bring 3 cups of water and 3 cloves of garlic (cut in half) to a boil. Turn off the heat when the water boils, and add 1/2 cup of honey and 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain. Sip 1/2 cup, warm, three times a day. Refrigerate extra to use the next day.

Hope you like today's photo too. It's a Flash advert from an old 'Woman' magazine from January 1959!!! I love old magazines from the 50's and 60's. I love to buy them and read the articles, they are so quaint and gay, and generally make me giggle, and the adverts are just the most colourful and delightful.
I must share with you more pictures and some articles from some of my mags, they are just
fantabulous!
Anyhoot, hope you all had a marvelous Monday!
Ta ta for now.
