Gesso Ya Know...
Posted on 7:22 PM by follow me
good fortune of happening upon
those fabulous old frames, dripping
with charm and history.
paint is a great help, but it usually ends
up looking a bit flat and uninspired,
like this.
But here is a little tip that can transform any
cheap-o, plastic, 99 Cent Store/Dollar Tree/Walmart
frame into a one that will make even the most
experienced flea market-trix do a double take!
(my assistant wholeheartedly concurs!)
of gesso to add the look and texture of those
lovely old frames...easy as that!
(I believe these were actually from the 98
Cent Store!)
that belies it's humble origins.
