Got Milk?

She wakes up early with happy anticipation of having a tidy house. She chooses an apron and busily gets to work cleaning up her cottage. Oddly enough, she enjoys the routine of most of these chores, that so many others object to. She loves to fluff and feather her nest, and considers her home the happiest of places. The noises around her comfort her, Dean Martin playing in the background, girls giggling in another room, the cats chasing each other through the house, the leaves blowing in the cool autumn breeze. The sounds of her life fill her ears and heart. This state of contentment is interrupted by the excited barking of her dog, Millie. Her puppy's enthusiasm is contagious. The milkman! An event that is happily anticipated all week has finally arrived.
Well, this story could have taken place 50 years ago but instead it actually took place here yesterday morning. I received my first delivery from Oberweiss Dairy and somehow my life just seems a bit more blissful- a bit more nostalgic. I think my dairy fresh milk will taste even better in these glasses from Anthropologie.
