All Her Wreathly Goods...and Treasures!

Kae does enjoy a Christmas wreath...or two...
or three!!!

Can you tell we were a little in LOVE with the
vintage-y glittery words that everyone was selling
this years!!!

And this is a glimpse of Kae's Christmas jewelry
box...magical! (when we were little, we would have
to sneak to look at her jewelry box...make sure that
it was in the exact right dust outline on the mirrored
tray...or we were in big FAT trouble...but we did it! :)

I Wish You a Happy New Year

2011!!
I can scarcely believe it is upon us. I say goodbye to 2010 with a mixture of relief, gratitude and sadness. 2010, you took a lot from me. You also gave me more than I ever imagined. All I know for sure is that when I fall asleep at night counting my blessings, I fall asleep before I get to the end.

The best things to have come out of this past year are our move to the Village, the new family connections we formed and the amazing circle of friends that surround me, strengthen me and love me. No matter what. I love you, my friends.

It would be easy for me to get scared thinking of what 2011 has in store for me. I can't let the fear of the future hold me hostage. So here's to a year that I hope holds more love, friendship and dreams that come true.

Happiest New Year to you all.

*Collecting Thoughts*

Well it is the end of the year, and I'm sure you are all collecting thoughts about the old year and looking forward to a new one.
I hope that this year has been good to you and your loved ones, but I hope that next year is even better!

I would like to thank you all for a wonderful blogging year, I have had *soooo* much fun and I've met some lovely people along the way, so thank you so much to you all.
I *heart* each and everyone one of you.

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and however you are celebrating the New Year I hope you all have a fabulous time.

Sending you lots of good wishes & blessings for the New Year, and I hope it brings each of you love, joy, happiness & good health & I hope all your dreams come true.

love to all you sweet people, 'see' you next year!

We Interrupt This Unscheduled Blog Break

Miss me? Miss you. I didn't know I was taking a blog break but here we are. My break will probably continue until my house empties out completely on January 5th. That is 7 days from today. I'm not counting down or anything. I just thought you might want to know.

We've been busy doing lots of things and also doing nothing at all. We've been reading new books like this wonderful one pictured above that Sweet Hubby got for me.

We've been watching lots of things like this (Another gift from the Sweet Man).

We've been playing lots of games like Monopoly Deal, Uno, War, Uno Attack and Boggle. And eating super healthy stuff like carrots and apples. When we're not eating fudge, macaroni and cheese and cinnamon rolls.

We've been traveling in blizzards to visit friends that feel more like family.

We've been drinking lots of this. You know, to keep us warm.

We've been spending lots of time in this position, too content to move. Or to change out of our pajamas unless absolutely forced to. Apparently he's content all of the time. So you can see now why this little break happened and why it will likely continue a little longer. I'm not gonna lie, I love you guys. But I love these guys even more. We'll catch up soon friends.

Getting a Head Start

This past couple of weeks, I've spent too much time in the above position. That combined with all of the peppermint bark and fudge I consumed and whatdayaknow, I'm wearing 3 extra pounds across my backside and thighs. I love to bake, especially at Christmas. I even tried freezing the goodies to keep myself out of them. Turns out, the only thing that tastes better than frozen fudge is frozen peppermint bark. Who knew? Hopefully that is a lesson I will remember next year.

I'm getting a jump on the new year and I'm getting moving now. I've been breaking in my new shoes and making sure my treadmill isn't lonely. I've hung this inspiration board beside the treadmill to keep me going when I feel unmotivated. I put a smaller version inside the door of my pantry. Silly? Yes, but it's working. I find it easier to be successful when I have a goal so mine is to shape up by March 1st when Sweet Hubby gets his bonus and you'll find me here and here rewarding myself.
